About the Job

Join Inn-Flow as Manager, Bookkeeping Services, responsible for leading a domestic and international team of highly qualified financial accountants to drive the success of our Bookkeeping business. This role supports our customers in solving complex bookkeeping tasks, and overseeing the successful execution of bookkeeping services while reacting to feedback from customers to help define and design enhancements to our service offering.  The role requires a high level of expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, and software proficiency.  The Manager of Bookkeeping may also assist with client escalations and provide guidance to staff.

What You Will Do

  • Advanced Bookkeeping Activities: Leverage deep hotel experience and financial expertise to lead the Bookkeeping service portfolio.  Collaborating directly with customers to effectively complete or review the accuracy of core bookkeeping services performed by other team members. These activities include:
    • Partnering with assigned accounts to develop clear, repeatable guidance for Bookkeeping Agents to use when processing financial transactions
    • Certify completion of weekly bank reconciliations
    • In-depth review of Monthly Financials, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement
    • Partner with customers to propose new services that expand the value of Inn-Flow’s Bookkeeping offer
    • Triangulate business goals with sales pipeline and delivery capacity to drive business success and delight customers!
  • Customer Support: Collaborate directly with customers to help answer complex bookkeeping requests for financial analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Inn-Flow focuses on continuous improvement of its internal processes; this role will work with internal stakeholders to define operational processes that simplify customer engagement and accelerate the timely availability of financial data.
  • Business Growth: We’re always looking for ways to improve the value of our services. The Bookkeeping Services Manager will react to customer requests to propose new service offerings, scope associated efforts, help set pricing, and support sales efforts to accurately and effectively position Bookkeeping services.

What You Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Accounting Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) working as a Controller or in Similar Bookkeeping or Accounting roles, preferably within hospitality.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Collaborative Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-Starter – Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities and a keen sense of ownership over your work.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, with a creative approach to testing service concepts, methodologies, and campaign optimization.

What Makes You a Standout

  • Hotel Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) working in a financial role in a Hotel, Hotel Manager Company, or Similar.
  • USALI Knowledge – Understanding of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry.
  • Market Insights – Solid understanding of competitive hospitality accounting applications like Inn-Flow
  • Experience managing a service business.
